Related Contacts

Overview

The Related Contacts feature in ConveYour allows users to establish relationships between contacts, making it easier to track downlines, manage team hierarchies, or create custom relationships between individuals. While recruitment is a common use case, this feature is designed to be flexible, allowing any contact to be related to any number of other contacts.

How to Set Up Related Contacts

Create a Related Contact Field

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Settings > Fields > Contact Info.

  2. Click the Plus Icon (+).

  3. Enter a Field Name (e.g., Recruiter, Mentor, Account Manager).

  4. Select Related Contacts as the field type.

  5. Configure Visibility & Access:

    • Optionally limit the field to a specific Group of contacts.

  6. Click Create to save your custom Related Contacts field.

    • Drag the field higher for better visibility on the contact page.

How to Assign Related Contacts

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Contacts and open the contact’s profile.

  2. Locate the Related Contact field you created.

  3. Select one or more contacts to associate.

How to View Related Contacts & Downlines

Creating a Group for Related Contacts

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Groups > New > Group.

  2. Name the Group (e.g., “Andy’s Network”).

  3. Configure the group using the Related Contact field.

  4. Select Descendant Of and input a contact’s name (e.g., Andy).

  5. The system will dynamically update the group as relationships change.

Expanding the Hierarchy

  • Downline relationships extend up to 30 levels deep!

  • Example: Jim → Andy → Aaron → Gabe (all sub-relations remain visible).

How to Use Related Contacts with ConveYour Teams

  • If using ConveYour Teams, visible contacts in the Related Contacts fields will be limited to those in the current team.

    • To view all contacts and fields at once, admin users can unassign themselves from their current Team.

  • Ensure the Related Contact field is visible within the Team settings.

How to Restrict Related Contacts by Group

  1. Navigate to Main Menu > Settings > Fields.

  2. Select the existing Related Contact field.

  3. Adjust settings to limit the field to a specific Group.

  4. Save changes.
