What Is a Delay? (and What Does a Delay Do?)
This is a quick overview of what a delay trigger does in a workflow. It answers the question: How does a delay work?

Delays allow you to delay when contacts will receive their next trigger.
In order to set up a delay, you will need to have an idea of a timeframe for when you want something to occur next.
As you can see from the image above, you can give a few different options (be sure to use the "View Examples" link on the delay trigger to get an idea of different ways to declare time). Here are a few examples:
Define how much time by a "relative" value like: +15 min, +1 day, etc.
Specify a "specific" time (be sure to use your timezone): 10am CDT*
Combine the relative and specific times: Tomorrow at 1pm PDT*
You can even use day names like this: Friday at 9am EST*
*A time value like "10am" requires a timezone (and note the difference between daylight and standard times)
One final point
Keep in mind is that a lesson following a Delay WILL send out notifications. If you don't want your lesson to send out a notification after the delay, then turn off the lesson notifications.
