Boost Engagement With Custom Feedback in ConveYour

Introduction

Create an exquisite, fully-guided learner experience within your ConveYour learner portal using the power of Custom Feedback. This NEW feature within ConveYour allows you to generate customized feedback to answers provided by your learners. This can help nudge your learners from a wrong answer to a correct one, or simply strengthen the engagement they feel as you provide them a superior learner experience.

What Does it Look Like?

As of August 15, 2023, Custom Feedback is only available for the “Assessment Question” and “Challenge Question” lesson items.

Let’s take a look at how Custom Feedback works in the context of a Challenge Question. The learner is first presented with the question, and their options:

The ConveYour Learner Portal. The lesson is called "Custom Feedback Test" and the question at hand is "Who Is Batman?" The available options are Jason Todd, Arthur Fleck, and Bruce Wayne. If they make a incorrect selection, they will see the custom feedback directly underneath the wrong answer:

The ConveYour lesson, "Custom Feedback Test." The question is, "Who is Batman?" the learner has guessed Jason Todd, which is incorrect. Underneath the selected answer, it says "Not Jason!"When a learner selects the correct answer, the feedback is displayed the same way:

The ConveYour Learner Portal viewing a lesson called "Custom Feedback Test". The correct answer to the question, "Who Is Batman?" has been selected, which is Bruce Wayne. Underneath the correct answer reads "Yes, it's Bruce!"

How Do I Do It?

Lucky for you, adding Custom Feedback to your Challenge and Assessment Question lesson items can be done in seconds!

  1. From your ConveYour Lesson, create a new Question lesson item, or select an existing one.
The "Challenge Question" Menu in ConveYour. The question reads "Who is Batman?" and there are three answers: Jason Todd, Arthur Fleck, and Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne is designated as the correct answer.

  2. Scroll down to the checkbox that says “Customize Feedback” and select it.
The bottom of the "Challenge Question" menu, showing the "Customize Feedback" checkbox, which has been selected. Below the box is a button which says "Add Feedback"

  3. Click on the “Add Feedback” button and then select an answer and the Custom Feedback you would like to associate with it.
The "Edit Field" menu in ConveYour, which comes up when the "Add Feedback" button is clicked. The selected answer is "Bruce Wayne" and the selected custom feedback response is "Yes, it's Bruce!"

…and that’s it! Repeat these three steps as needed so that you can provide Custom Feedback for any of your Challenge or Assessment Questions.
